Medieval towers stand watch as they have for centuries, while cafés hum with quiet conversation beneath colourful façades. Sea air drifts through ancient gateways, carrying the unmistakable feeling that this city has stories to tell.

Welcome to Tallinn
Perched on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, Tallinn is Estonia’s capital and one of Northern Europe’s most enchanting cities. Its remarkably preserved medieval Old Town, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands alongside innovative architecture, thriving creative districts, tranquil parks, and one of Europe’s most digitally connected societies.
It is a city where centuries comfortably share the same street.
Merchants once arrived by sailing ship.
Today, visitors arrive by ferry, train, cruise ship, and air, stepping into a place where Gothic church towers overlook art galleries, technology startups flourish beside ancient stone walls, and every neighbourhood seems to reveal another chapter in Estonia’s remarkable story.
Tallinn has never been frozen in time.
It simply remembers where it came from.
Begin Where History Lives
There is a temptation when entering Tallinn’s Old Town to immediately start checking landmarks off a list.
Resist it.
Instead, let curiosity become your guide.
The narrow lanes invite wandering. Stone archways reveal hidden courtyards. Window boxes overflow with flowers during summer, while centuries-old buildings cast shifting shadows across polished cobblestones.
The Old Town grew into prominence as one of the great trading centres of the Hanseatic League between the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries. That prosperity is still written into the city’s elegant merchant houses, defensive walls, warehouses, and churches.
