Meet Jada Leigh – Story Researcher, Detail Whisperer, and Finder of the Thread
Jada Leigh is the one who connects the dots no one else sees. As Story Researcher at Go Cybernaut, Jada works behind the scenes to build the scaffolding for stories that feel rich, real, and grounded. She’s not loud—but her work speaks volumes.
Jada Leigh is the pulse behind Go Cybernaut’s deep dives, narrative threads, and untold stories. As Story Researcher, she’s a hunter of the overlooked, the obscure, and the essential — the kind of mind that connects patterns across timelines and translates complexity into clarity.
With her ear tuned to cultural currents and her eyes sharp for detail, Jada fuels the editorial engine with compelling leads and context-rich insights.
Her playlist, Turbo Femme, is a high-octane mix of femme-forward anthems, underground electro, and smart pop with bite — music that mirrors her vibrant intellect and unapologetically fun energy. She thrives in motion, balancing focus with a sense of play, always diving into her next story with curiosity and conviction.
Capable and dedicated, Jada is the trusted research partner for the entire Go Cybernaut team — fromSimone Hart’s strategic storytelling toZoe Chen’s cultural coverage and Riley Quinn’s editorial direction. Whether she’s supporting Ayla Monroe on lifestyle pieces or digging up visual references for Indigo Rae and Rowan Okafer, Jada keeps the creative ecosystem rich, relevant, and surprising.
She’s intelligent without being intimidating, fun without losing her edge — the kind of teammate who gets the job done and makes you laugh while doing it. With Jada behind the scenes, Go Cybernaut’s stories don’t just inform — they resonate.
Her gift? Digging deep without losing the thread of the human story.
Jada’s origin story?
She was always the kid asking follow-up questions, tracing footnotes, and staying up late reading between the lines. Over time, that curiosity turned into a career rooted in narrative integrity—making sure the foundation of every story is solid, respectful, and true.
Jada brings emotional intelligence into every part of her work. She doesn’t just gather facts—she senses tone, intention, and impact. Her research is thorough, but it’s also tender. She protects what’s sacred in a story and knows when to keep digging—and when to step back.
She sees the world as layered and interconnected, and she approaches every assignment with one quiet mantra: “There’s always more to understand.”
Outside of timelines and archives, Jada is:
When she’s not knee-deep in storyboarding notes or tracking a thread through ten open browser tabs, Jada is off scuba diving, exploring new destinations, collecting rare comic books, perfecting her homemade curry, or finding her center through yoga. She brings that same energy — curious, sharp, and vibrant — into everything she touches at Go Cybernaut.
And here’s a small detail that says everything:
Jada keeps a document titled “Unfound Stories”—tiny threads she hasn’t had time to follow yet. It’s a reminder that discovery is never finished.
Signature catchphrase?
“Let’s go deeper. The truth has layers.”
Her north star?
“Trace it back. Stay curious. Protect the story.”
On the Game Shelf
🕵️♀️ SHERLOCK HOLMES CONSULTING DETECTIVE: THE BAKER STREET IRREGULARS
“Some mysteries feel less like a game and more like an invitation — an invitation to look closer, think deeper, and follow the threads no one else notices.
That’s what I love about this version of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. It doesn’t rush you. It trusts you. It lets you walk the streets of London with the Baker Street Irregulars and piece together truth from scraps of clues and instinct.
Every case feels alive.
You read reports, chase leads, test hunches, and argue theories until suddenly — there it is.
The moment everything fits.
The click of clarity.
The thrill of understanding what was hidden in plain sight.
It’s immersive, clever, emotional in surprising ways, and perfect for anyone who believes that good stories — like real mysteries — should be solved with both intuition and heart.
A gift for the curious and the relentless: the ones who know that the truth always has layers worth uncovering.”
On the Bookshelf
Fiction: Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
“Dark, strange, and intoxicating. A Gothic with grit—and secrets worth digging into.”Non-fiction: Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez
“Shocking and brilliant. Unveils the gender gaps hiding in plain sight.”
Summer Reading
Fiction Pick:Where Are You Really From by Elaine Hsieh Chou
Nonfiction Pick: Original Sins by Eve L. Ewing
Best Read In: The quietest library nook you can find, preferably beside a stack of books you did not plan to borrow.
Jada’s summer reading pair is built for the curious mind, the person who looks beneath the surface of a story and asks, “What else is here?”
Elaine Hsieh Chou’s Where Are You Really From is a collection of sharp, strange, inventive stories that engages with identity, loneliness, cultural displacement, fantasy, and the slippery ways people try to understand one another.
Original Sins is a clear-eyed, deeply researched examination of how U.S. schools have helped build and preserve racial inequality. Ewing traces the roots of educational systems designed to advantage white children while constraining, assimilating, or erasing Black and Native students, then connects that history to the classrooms and policies of today.
Why this pair: Jada’s work at Go Cybernaut has always been about noticing what is missing, who has been overlooked, and how the background of a story can change everything in the foreground.

🍂 Autumn Playlist Spotlight – The Hidden Thread
From Cybernaut Jada Leigh comes this autumn mix, a playlist that feels like a secret seam running beneath daily life. The Hidden Thread gathers songs that connect memory to the present moment, weaving subtle strength into the listener’s heart. Perfect for reflection as the leaves fall, or as a quiet companion while the Empress reminds us to create and nurture.
Explore The Hidden Thread
This playlist reflects that evolution: where Jada has been, where she stands now, in 2026, and where she plans to go next.
Built from tracks released since 2025, it blends Latin pop, salsa, alt-pop, indie rock, experimental electronic, R&B, folk, soul, dance, and art-pop into a story about curiosity, resilience, identity, memory, and the courage to keep asking deeper questions.
Hobbies
1. 🤿 Scuba diving
The ultimate Jada activity: enter another world and investigate what’s down there.
2. 📚 Rare comic collecting
Part fandom, part visual storytelling, part cultural archaeology.
3. 🍛 Cooking curry
Their favourite kitchen rabbit hole. One recipe inevitably becomes research into ingredients, migration and regional variation.
4. 🧘 Yoga
A necessary counterweight to the 31-tab brain.
5. ✈️ Travel
Especially places that challenge assumptions they didn’t realize they had.
6. 🕵️ Mystery and investigation games
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective remains a favourite.
7. 📷 Travel photography
Details rather than postcard views.
8. 🗺️ Map collecting
Transit maps, historical maps and old tourist maps particularly fascinate them.
9. 🎧 Playlist building
Turbo Femme proves research does not require beige music.
10. 🏛️ Museums and archives
Jada can lose entire afternoons in either.
Music Artists
Jada’s musical personality preserves the high-energy, femme-forward, electro-pop bite of Turbo Femme while allowing some unexpected corners.
- Charli xcx
- Rina Sawayama
- CHVRCHES
- MUNA
- Christine and the Queens
- Caroline Polachek
- Robyn
- Janelle Monáe
- Grimes
- St. Vincent
Janelle Monáe particularly appeals to Jada because music, identity, science fiction, visual storytelling and larger conceptual worlds collide.
St. Vincent feeds their stranger artistic side.
And Robyn can turn a research session into an office dance break with alarming efficiency.
Sam pretends not to notice.
Sam notices.
TV Shows
- Only Murders in the Building
- Veronica Mars
- Poker Face
- Severance
- Yellowjackets
- Russian Doll
- The Good Place
- Derry Girls
- Doctor Who
- Abbott Elementary
Only Murders activates their investigation brain.
Severance activates approximately seventeen other parts of their brain.
Doctor Who satisfies the history + possibility equation.
And Derry Girls is evidence that Jada doesn’t spend every evening solemnly verifying citations.
Sports Teams & Athletes
Jada isn’t heavily team-sports oriented. Their strongest sporting interests connect to water, adventure, movement and their West Coast home.
- Vancouver Canucks 🏒
- Vancouver Whitecaps FC ⚽
- Vancouver Rise FC ⚽
- Canada women’s national soccer team ⚽
- Team Canada 🇨🇦
- Molly Carlson 🤿
- Meaghan Benfeito 🤿
- Simone Biles 🤸
- Sky Brown 🛹
- Chloe Kim 🏂
Jada is particularly fascinated by diving sports because they already understand the strange psychological transition between standing above water and committing to entering it.
Movies
- Knives Out
- Everything Everywhere All at Once
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
- Arrival
- The Batman
- Searching
- The Grand Budapest Hotel
- Parasite
- Pan’s Labyrinth
- Spotlight
Spotlight matters enormously to researcher Jada.
Not because they imagine journalism as heroic detective theatre, but because it demonstrates methodical work: documentation, corroboration, patience and responsibility.
Searching appeals to their digital-investigation brain.
And Spider-Verse connects comics, visual innovation and the idea that many different versions of a story can coexist.
Travel Destinations Already Visited
The travel labels appearing in Jada’s cover give us a useful starting thread.
🇯🇵 1. Tokyo, Japan
Comics, design, museums, technology and the revelation that even vending machines can produce research questions.
🇮🇸 2. Reykjavík, Iceland
Landscape, geology and one spectacular dive between tectonic plates at Silfra.
🇹🇭 3. Bangkok, Thailand
Food became the original attraction. Cultural history rapidly took over the notebook.
🇵🇹 4. Lisbon, Portugal
Tiles, maritime history, neighbourhoods and old maps.
🇲🇽 5. Mexico City, Mexico
Museums, food, murals, archaeology and more potential research threads than one human could reasonably pursue.
🇦🇺 6. Cairns & Great Barrier Reef, Australia
A landmark diving journey.
🇧🇿 7. Belize
Another important chapter in Jada’s diving life, especially the reef ecosystem.
🇬🇧 8. London, England
Museums, archives, comics, Sherlock Holmes pilgrimage and extremely predictable excitement about the British Library.
🇺🇸 9. New York City, USA
Comics, publishing, museums and archives.
🇨🇦 10. Montréal, Quebec
Language, food, architecture and another reminder that searching in English alone can reveal only part of a place.
Jada’s travel ritual
Jada brings home one question.
Not necessarily an object.
At the end of every journey, they write something they encountered but don’t yet understand.
It goes into:
UNFOUND STORIES
Some questions are answered months later.
Some survive for years.
That’s fine.
Jada is learning:
An unanswered question isn’t a failed investigation.
Sometimes it’s simply an honest ending.
🔎 About Jada
I’m Jada Leigh, Story Researcher at Go Cybernaut.
Basically, somebody says:
“I wonder why…”
and suddenly it’s three hours later.
I grew up in Victoria and live in Vancouver now, which means I’ve spent most of my life beside the Pacific and apparently decided the reasonable response was eventually to start exploring underneath it.
I scuba dive.
I collect comics.
I cook curry.
I travel.
I practice yoga.
I play investigation games.
I build aggressively energetic playlists.
And I research stories for a living.
There may be a pattern here.
I’ve always loved finding connections.
A sentence leads to a source.
The source contains a footnote.
The footnote mentions somebody you’ve never heard of.
That person turns out to be the reason the entire story exists.
That’s the moment I love.
But my first year at Go Cybernaut has taught me that research isn’t a competition to see who can find the most information.
Sometimes more isn’t better.
Sometimes the strongest sentence is:
“We couldn’t independently establish this.”
Sometimes the best source disagrees with the most popular one.
Sometimes ten articles are all repeating the same mistake.
Sometimes somebody’s personal information is publicly available but completely irrelevant to the story.
And sometimes the person you’re researching deserves to speak for themselves.
That’s changed how I think about my north star:
Protect the story.
Now I think that also means:
Protect the people inside it.
I keep a document called Unfound Stories.
It’s full of things I haven’t solved.
I used to find that frustrating.
Now I like it.
It reminds me that curiosity doesn’t require certainty.
There’s always more to understand.
🔎 Follow the source.
🧵 Keep the thread.
❓Question the easy answer.
🧡 Know when to stop.
🎧 Research is better with Turbo Femme.

Ursula K. Le Guin:
“There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.”
