Celebrate World Rhino Day 🦏
World Rhino Day is celebrated every September 22, bringing attention to one of the planet’s most extraordinary groups of mammals.
Five rhinoceros species survive today: the black rhino, white rhino, greater one-horned rhino, Javan rhino and Sumatran rhino. They live across parts of Africa and Asia, where conservation programs are working to protect rhinos and their habitats from threats including poaching and habitat loss.
Explore fascinating rhinoceros facts, meet the world’s five rhino species, discover where rhinos live, and learn why protecting these remarkable animals also helps protect the ecosystems around them.
