Yorkshire Dales
Yorkshire Day is celebrated every August 1 to honour the history, culture, and identity of England’s largest historic county.
First observed in 1975 by the Yorkshire Ridings Society, the celebration highlights Yorkshire’s unique heritage, symbolized by the White Rose, while commemorating the county’s traditions and communities.
Visitors can explore medieval York, the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, dramatic coastal cliffs, historic abbeys, castles, market towns, and world-famous foods such as Yorkshire pudding and Wensleydale cheese.
Whether hiking across sweeping moorlands or enjoying afternoon tea in Harrogate, Yorkshire offers unforgettable experiences for every traveller.
