The 1959 comedy, Holiday for Lovers stars Clifton Webb as a psychiatrist on holiday with his family in Brazil after his daughter has extended her stay there to study under an elder mentor. Dad is not at all pleased with the Brazilian influence on his daughter. Also features Jane Wyman, Jill St.John, and Carol Lynley.
There is plenty of music and dancing in this 1955 film Fred Astaire is an American millionaire anonymously sponsoring a young Leslie Caron as a French orphan through college. Daddy Long Legs also features Terry Moore and Thelma Ritter.
The 1945 film, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn is based on the classic novel about a young girl, making the best of life with her struggling family in their Brooklyn apartment. Starring Dorothy McGuire, Joan Blondell, James Dunn, and Peggy Ann Garner. Directed by Elia Kazan. Two Academy Awards, James Dunn for Best Supporting Actor, and Peggy Ann Garner for Best Juvenile Award.

Lady In Cement is a 1968 action-packed Tony Rome mystery thriller. The private investigator discovers a woman’s body while diving for treasure and sets to solve the mystery of the woman in cement, at the bottom of the ocean.
Starring Frank Sinatra, Raquel Welch, Richard Conte, Martin Gabel, and Lainie Kazan.
An unemployed NYC dancer and her young daughter find themselves living with an off-Broadway actor after her live-in boyfriend moves on. The 1977 Neil Simon romantic comedy features Richard Dreyfuss (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for his role as Elliot Garfield), Marsha Mason, and Quinn Cummings.
Lana Turner, Lee Philips, and Lloyd Nolan are featured in this 1957 soap opera of a movie that exposes all of the drama of a small town.
Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore is a 1974 drama/comedy starring Ellen Burstyn and Kris Kristofferson about a 30-something widow/singer/waitress struggling to make a future for her son and herself. Martin Scorsese directed. Won Oscar Award for Burstyn as Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Only Youis a 1994 rom-com, directed by Norman Jewison features Marisa Tormei, Eobert Downey Jr., and Bonnie Hunt searching Italy for one young woman’s soulmate.
The Stepford Wives, is based on the Ira Levin novel about an NYC family moving to a Connecticut town where the wives seem a bit off. This 1975 version features Katherine Ross, Paula Prentiss, Peter Masterson, and Tina Louise.

Stowaway is about a young girl, lost in Shanghai, a young girl is found by a playboy and his girlfriend. Starring Shirley Temple, Robert Young, and Alice Faye.
In The Notorious Landlady Kim Novak, Jack Lemmon, and Fred Astaire are featured in this comedy about an American diplomat in London, his mysterious landlady, and a missing husband.
Paris Blues stars Sidney Poitier, Steve McQueen, Diahann Carroll, and Joanne Woodward star in this jazz film about two musicians who find love in Paris.
