I spend plenty of time online each day, researching, writing, editing. I am doing what I love, although I admit it can get a bit tedious at times. My mind surely needs a diversion.
Earlier in 2021, I became somewhat consumed with the “where in the world am I” online game, Geoguessr. At about the same time I discovered Radio.Garden, the “where in the world am I” online radio scanner. It was only a matter of time that the two united to become Radio Roulette.
The procedure is fairly simple. I select Country Streak on Geoguessr. Wherever the correct location lies on the globe becomes my next country or city selection at Radio.Garden. I will have a listen for the next hour or so, as I work through the online chores of the day.
Although, as I share my new past time with you, I am guessing this sounds like a very geography-music nerdy way to spend time it really is a mind-opening experience. I have found some very interesting destinations and surprising radio stations while learning more about how music connects all these maps.
