From the Notebook - Companion Planting Guide
Back in the 1980s and 1990s my husband Robert and I were groundskeepers at a lovely home along South West Marine Drive, the “Golden Mile” of Vancouver, British Columbia.
In 1989 we decided to add a vegetable garden into the mix. We had a perfect southern facing location at the top of a bluff overlooking the Golf Course, Fraser River, and across the Straight of Georgia, to the Sunshine Coast.
I have recently come across the garden notebook from this venture. It is full of plans, tips, experiences, and resources. In 1989 I didn’t have the convenience of the Internet and relied on this notebook for the years to come.
As it is time to be thinking about planting a vegetable garden the following are my notes about companion planting to discourage pests from consuming the bounty!
