Benjamin Rich certainly takes viewers off the beaten track!
A native of Brighton, England, Rich, owning a successful business, was once a part of the corporate world. When life took a downturn and his company went bankrupt Benjamin decided to hit the road towards a life of adventure.
He began his Youtube channel, Bald & Bankrupt in 2018. Just a few years later and 2.6 million subscribers have joined the journey, with more than 350 million overall views.

Rich’s enjoyment of travel isn’t a recent event. In the 1990s he set out for a one-month backpacking trip to India and ened up opening up a small hotel and staying four years. He became engrossed in local culture. It is no surprise that India would play a large part of Bald & Bankrupt.
I Got Drunk With Babushkas
In 1993 Rich spent two months in Moscow. His interest in Post-Soviet Russia inspired many episodes throughout the area.
While Rich found himself in An intensive care unit of a Serbian hospital with COVID-19 related double pneumonia in July 2020, the adventurous vlogger is back on the road with recent trips to Cuba and Mexico.

In ‘The Burning Edge’ Arthur Chichester ( better known as Bald and Bankrupt ) takes us on a journey to the furthest edge of Belarus to meet the people who continue to live in a region the locals call ‘The Zone’. Written before he created the YouTube channel, this is in a sense the origin story of Mr. Bald as he explores a nation and locations that would go on to become a regular backdrop in many of his films.
