I have listed the websites of many of the shops. Before hitting the pavement I suggest you take a look at the websites and make a list of the shops that interest you the most. They are listed in the order you will encounter during your visit. If you see that I have left any out please leave a comment in the section following this article. Now let’s get started!
Head west on Oxford Street for a few blocks to begin your shopping excursion. Located at 400 Oxford Street is the famous Selfridges and Company Department Store, considered by many to be the best department store in the world.
Within the store, you will discover the latest in style from many highly regarded designers on the planet including GUCCI, Hermes, Jimmy Chu, Valentino, Marc Jacobs, CHANEL, Diane Von Furstenberg, and many more.
Following your Selfridges visit, backtrack on Oxford Street and turn into St. Christopher’s Place. It is a narrow passageway and may be easy to miss. You will find it just behind James Street and before Bond Street Tube Station. This lovely little plaza is a nice place to stop for a coffee or refreshments as the little cafes look very inviting.

Continue walking north and feel free to stop into any of the shops along the way. Some of these include menswear shop Diverso, The Jigsaw Boutique, and French clothing at The Kooples.

Once you have explored the plaza continue north and turn right at Wigmore Street, cross over to the other side of the street, and left at Marylebone Lane. There are more shops to discover along the walk up to the end of the lane, including Browns Labels For Less, featuring high end fashion from the top designers.
Paul Rothe and Son is a lovely 4th generation delicatessen, highly rated for the freshly made sandwiches and soup. If you feel like stopping for lunch this would be a good choice. Another lunch possibility is Coach Makers Arms which has been in business for 140 years and where you can enjoy a pint and pub fare.
The shop Papouelli specializes in shoe for children. Mom will find a nice selection of comfortable ballet-inspired flats and other footwear at French Sole. Finally, at the top of Marylebone Lane is another luncheon choice at Parisian eatery Relais de Venise L’Entrecote.
When you reach Thayer Street walk across the street and down to George Street. Personally, I love charity shops. I enjoy browsing because I never know what treasure I may find. It is truly a win-win situation for a shopping situation which is easier on the budget while the cash goes to a good cause.
George Street offers two such stores, Geranium at #4 George Street which supports the charity, The Greater London Fund for the Blind. At #7 is Bernardo’s shop. Proceeds go to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Marylebone Walking Tour
Backtrack on George Street and turn left at Thayer Street, which becomes Marylebone High Street. Along the way you will encounter more boutiques and shops.
Continue up the High Street with more fashion boutiques, book sellers, and a few shops dedicated to home décor.
Turn right at Marylebone Road to arrive at Regent’s Park tube station and the end of your shopping trip.
