A New Month, Seven Cards, and Doorways Waiting to Be Opened
September arrives with seven cards for reflection, music in the air, celebrations around the world, and another week of doorways waiting to take us somewhere unexpected.
Welcome to a new week at Go Cybernaut, and to the beginning of September.
There is something curious about crossing from one month into another. Nothing visible changes at midnight. The trees do not consult the calendar. The sea does not turn a page. Yet we do.
Perhaps that is why this week’s tarot feels particularly suited to the moment.
As always, our cards are not a horoscope and not a prediction of what will happen to you. You do not have to believe in tarot to find something useful here.
Think of the cards instead as seven small mirrors placed along the road.
A question.
A possibility.
A different way of looking at something you may already be carrying.
If a card speaks to you, take its thought along.
If it doesn’t, leave it here for the next traveler.
Seven Invitations to Reflect
This week’s cards are:
The Hermit → Six of Cups → Temperance Reversed → Queen of Pentacles Reversed → Judgement Reversed → Six of Wands Reversed → Four of Swords Reversed
Together, they tell an interesting story about retreat, memory, imbalance, depleted care, self-judgement, recognition, and finally the difficulty of truly resting.
🕯️ Monday: The Hermit
The week begins quietly.
The Hermit carries a lantern, but the light does not illuminate the entire road. It illuminates only enough to take the next few steps.
Perhaps that is enough.
There are times when stepping away from noise is not withdrawal but wisdom. The world is exceptionally talented at telling us what we should think, buy, fear, achieve, watch, answer, and become.
The Hermit asks something considerably quieter:
What do you know when nobody else is speaking?
You do not need every answer today.
Sometimes a lantern is more useful than a floodlight.
🍂 Tuesday: Six of Cups
From solitude we move toward memory.
The Six of Cups often carries us backward, toward childhood, old friendships, familiar places, forgotten pleasures, and versions of ourselves we thought had disappeared.
Nostalgia can be beautiful, but memory is not asking us to move permanently into yesterday.
Perhaps its gift is reminding us what mattered before life became so complicated.
What did you love simply because you loved it?
What made you curious?
What made an afternoon feel enormous?
There may be something from your past worth bringing forward.
⚖️ Wednesday: Temperance Reversed
By midweek, the water spills.
Temperance upright knows how to blend, balance, adjust, and patiently find the middle ground. Reversed, something may have tipped too far.
Too much work.
Too much noise.
Too much giving.
Too much worrying.
Too much scrolling.
Or perhaps too little rest, play, nourishment, connection, or time spent doing absolutely nothing useful.
Balance is rarely a perfect 50/50 equation. Life is much wobblier than that.
The question is simply:
What needs adjusting?
🌿 Thursday: Queen of Pentacles Reversed
The Queen of Pentacles usually knows how to care for the practical world: home, body, work, resources, meals, comfort, and the people who depend upon her.
Reversed, she raises an uncomfortable possibility.
Have you become very good at looking after everything except yourself?
Care can quietly become depletion when it travels continuously outward.
Perhaps today there is permission to make the circle of care slightly smaller.
Eat something nourishing.
Sit somewhere comfortable.
Turn something off.
Leave something unfinished.
You are allowed to belong among the things you care for.
🔔 Friday: Judgement Reversed
Judgement can be a great awakening, but reversed it can point toward hesitation, second-guessing, or the relentless courtroom we sometimes construct inside our own minds.
Should I have done more?
Should I have known better?
Why haven’t I figured this out yet?
Why am I still thinking about that?
Perhaps Friday offers another question:
What if you stopped putting yourself on trial?
Reflection can help us grow.
Self-punishment rarely does.
You are allowed to learn without sentencing yourself for having needed the lesson.
🏅 Saturday: Six of Wands Reversed
The Six of Wands traditionally carries recognition and victory. Reversed, applause may be absent.
That does not mean nothing worthwhile happened.
Much of what matters in human life receives no audience.
Nobody applauds when you finally make the phone call you were afraid to make.
There is no trophy for getting through a difficult week.
No parade arrives because you tried again.
No medal appears when you quietly choose kindness.
Some victories are invisible.
They still count.
🛏️ Sunday: Four of Swords Reversed
And finally, rest.
Or perhaps the inability to rest.
The Four of Swords reversed can appear when the body has stopped but the mind continues sprinting laps around the room.
Rest is not merely the absence of work.
Sometimes it means allowing ourselves to stop solving.
To stop rehearsing.
To stop preparing for every possible tomorrow.
September has only just begun.
There will be plenty of time for doing.
For today, perhaps simply being is enough.
🌟 Cybernaut Spotlight: Joanie Angus
This week our Cybernaut Spotlight turns toward Joanie Angus, Go Cybernaut’s 1980s Music Editor
Joanie’s corner of our constellation carries us back to a decade of enormous musical personality: synthesizers and guitars, mixtapes and music television, new wave experiments, arena-sized choruses, dance floors, cassette cases, and songs capable of opening decades-old memories within their first few notes.
🌍 Celebrating Our World This Week
One of our favorite things about the CyberVybe is discovering just how much there is to celebrate.
This week takes us across borders, traditions, nature, architecture, books, animals, faith, history, and a rather magnificent quantity of facial hair.
🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan Independence Day
🇺🇿 Uzbekistan Independence Day
Perhaps choose one you’ve never explored before.
Curiosity does not require a passport.
A new month also brings new opportunities to learn, prepare, create, listen, and care.
Throughout September at Go Cybernaut, we’ll be exploring:
🧘 National Yoga Awareness Month
Six different doorways.
Preparation. Protection. Movement. Making. Light. Music.
September already has quite a personality.
🎶 Our Sonic Offering: Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September”
There really could be only one.
Our Sonic Offering as August hands the calendar over to September is Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September.”
Few songs seem capable of carrying their own weather quite like this one.
Joy arrives almost immediately.
The groove starts moving.
And somewhere in the distance, September 21st begins clearing its schedule.
Consider this our musical ribbon-cutting ceremony for the month ahead.
🏞️ Bucket List Destination: Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
This week’s imaginary suitcase is packed for Croatia, where we are heading to the extraordinary Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Waterfalls tumble between turquoise and emerald lakes. Wooden pathways thread through forests. Water seems to be constantly negotiating another route through stone and green.
It is the sort of landscape that reminds us the planet remains capable of astonishing us.
🎧 Music Playlist: Groove for a Kinder Future
This week’s playlist carries a simple proposition:
What if kindness had a groove?
Groove for a Kinder Future gathers music for anyone who still believes empathy, community, optimism, and rhythm can occupy the same room.
Turn it up.
Move something.
Your shoulders will do if circumstances prohibit a full dance floor.
📖 Book of the Week: First Little Readers Parent Pack
Our Book of the Week celebrates one of life’s great milestones: discovering that marks on a page can become stories.
First Little Readers Parent Pack Created by Scholastic, this boxed early reader collection is designed for children beginning to decode simple text. The short, repetitive stories focus on sight words, predictable sentence patterns, and clear illustrations that reinforce meaning. Each slim volume feels achievable, giving new readers the powerful experience of finishing a whole book independently.
🚪 Five Doors Open in the Go Cybernaut Library
The Go Cybernaut Library is behaving strangely again.
Five doors have appeared along the corridor.
Naturally, we are going through them.
🚀 Door One: Science Fiction
Spaceships, distant planets, artificial intelligence, alternative realities, strange civilizations, and that wonderful question:
What if?
☘️ Door Two: Irish Heritage
History, landscape, folklore, music, literature, tradition, and generations of stories wait behind our second door.
💡 Door Three: Kid Inventors
Never underestimate what happens when a young mind looks at the world and asks:
Why does it have to work that way?
Meet the spirit of young invention
🌳 Door Four: Family History
Behind this door are photographs, names, recipes, migrations, mysteries, stories repeated around kitchen tables, and people whose choices eventually became part of us.
🍬 Door Five: Candy
Yes.
The final mysterious doorway leads directly to candy.
We make no apologies.
🫶 Thank You for Spending Part of Your Week With Us
Before we close this week’s CyberVybe, there is something we want to say.
Thank you.
Thank you for spending a little of your time here.
Maybe you arrived looking for a celebration.
Maybe you followed a song.
Maybe a search engine dropped you unexpectedly at one of our doors.
Maybe you wanted to learn about somewhere you’ve never been.
Maybe you needed something interesting to read while drinking your morning coffee.
However you found us, we’re glad there was room in your week for a little curiosity.
Go Cybernaut contains many doorways now, and you are always welcome to wander through them.
Come back tomorrow.
Come back next month.
Come back at three in the morning when you cannot sleep and suddenly decide you desperately need to know something about hummingbirds, Croatia, science fiction, classical music, skyscrapers, or candy.
The lights are on.
🤫 And One Last Thing, Said in a Whisper…
This part is for anyone whose week is heavier than it looks from the outside.
For anyone dealing with something frightening, exhausting, lonely, uncertain, unfair, or simply too much.
For anyone who has become tired of bad news.
For anyone who opened the internet looking for company and instead found another avalanche of outrage, catastrophe, argument, judgement, and doom scrolling.
Come sit with us for a while.
You do not have to accomplish anything here.
You do not have to agree with everything.
You do not have to be cheerful.
You don’t even have to know what you’re looking for.
Go Cybernaut was created for discovery and creativity, but foremost it was created to be a soft place to land.
A small corner of the online world where curiosity can still be gentle.
Where music matters.
Where books open doors.
Where other cultures are invitations to learn.
Where creativity is worth protecting.
Where kindness is never considered naïve.
And where, on difficult days, you can simply wander through a doorway and give your mind somewhere else to be for a little while.
Perhaps that is what this week’s Hermit was carrying in the lantern all along.
Not the whole road.
Just enough light for the next few steps.
Take what you need.
Leave what you don’t.
And whenever you need another doorway, you are welcome here.
