Welcome, Cybernauts.
September is preparing to hand the keys to October, and this week’s CyberVybe arrives right on the threshold.
Seven tarot cards were selected with the intention that their message travel beyond the person drawing them and find whoever might need to hear it. Perhaps the whole story belongs to you. Perhaps only one card or sentence catches your sleeve as you pass.
Take what resonates and leave the rest for someone else to find.
This week also brings us into a wonderfully busy October filled with music, food, dogs, family history, museums, creativity, kindness, travel and plenty of reasons to open another door.
Our Cybernaut Spotlight shines on Riley Quinn, our Bucket List carries us to Gansbaai, South Africa, and our autumn soundtrack travels through Asia. Roy Orbison offers a song for the lonely, genealogy finds its way onto the bookshelf, and five more doors from the Go Cybernaut Library are waiting near the end.
First, let’s see what the cards have carried to us.
🔮 The Week in the Cards
The week begins with The Fool, standing at the edge of something new and reminding us that we don’t need to know where every road leads before taking the first step. The Seven of Pentacles asks us to be patient with what we begin, while the Four of Wands reminds us to pause along the way and celebrate what has already grown.
As October arrives, the Ten of Wands reversed gives permission to put down burdens we no longer need to carry. The World reversed reminds us that unfinished doesn’t mean unsuccessful, and the Six of Cups reversed asks us to honor where we’ve been without allowing the past to choose where we go next.
Finally, the Three of Pentacles brings us together. What began with one person stepping into the unknown ends with people sharing their different gifts and building something side by side.
Perhaps that is the message meant to find someone this week:
Begin even if you don’t know the ending. Tend what matters. Celebrate what grows. Put down what has become too heavy. Make peace with what remains unfinished. Carry the wisdom of the past, but keep moving forward. And when you find your people, bring what you have to the table.
You do not need to finish becoming before you begin belonging.

This week, the Cybernaut Spotlight shines on Riley Quinn, Go Cybernaut’s Project Manager.
There is something fitting about Riley appearing during a week that begins with The Fool and ends with the Three of Pentacles.
Ideas need dreamers, but eventually someone has to help those ideas find their feet.

Few observances fit Go Cybernaut quite as comfortably as National Coffee Day, celebrating the little bean behind countless morning rituals, conversations and creative sessions.

We travel next to southern Africa for Botswana Day, opening a doorway into the country’s culture, landscapes, people and independence.
🎶 October 1 — International Music Day
For International Music Day, turn the dial outward and discover what someone somewhere else in the world is listening to. Music remains one of our favourite forms of travel.
🐕⬛ October 1 — Black Dog Day
Black Dog Day sends a little extra love toward the beautiful black dogs who can sometimes be overlooked. Today they get to stand directly in the spotlight.
🇨🇾 October 1 — Cyprus Independence Day
The Mediterranean calls as we celebrate Cyprus Independence Day and explore the history and culture of this fascinating island.
🇳🇬 October 1 — Nigeria Independence Day
We continue to West Africa for Nigeria Independence Day, celebrating a country alive with cultural, artistic and musical diversity.
🎵 October 2 — Kids Music Day
Kids Music Day encourages young people to discover instruments, make music, sing loudly and find their own doorway into the enormous world of sound.
🇩🇪 October 3 — Day of German Unity
Day of German Unity gives us an opportunity to explore German history, culture, traditions and contemporary life.
🇬🇧 October 3 — Buy British Day
Across the Channel, Buy British Day turns our attention toward British makers, businesses and products.
🇮🇶 October 3 — Iraq Independence Day
Iraq Independence Day opens another cultural doorway into a country whose history reaches extraordinarily deep into the human story.
💌 October 3 — World Cardmaking Day
Creativity gets its own handmade delivery with World Cardmaking Day, celebrated on the first Saturday in October.
Paper, colour, photographs, stamps, ribbons, imagination and a thoughtful message can turn a simple card into a tiny piece of art made especially for someone else.
There is something particularly fitting about cardmaking appearing during a week that ends with the Three of Pentacles. Both celebrate making things with intention and bringing individual pieces together to create something meaningful.
🚀 October 4–10 — World Space Week
Then our travels leave Earth altogether. World Space Week begins October 4, celebrating science, technology, exploration and the endless human habit of looking upward and wondering what else might be out there.

Back on Earth, Golf Lovers Day heads for the course to celebrate the sport, its history and the peculiar determination involved in persuading a tiny white ball to travel toward an equally tiny hole hundreds of yards away.

And we return to southern Africa for Lesotho Independence Day, celebrating the independence, culture, history and remarkable mountain landscapes of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

And apparently October has arrived hungry.
The beginning of a new month brings another collection of month-long celebrations to Go Cybernaut.

During Country Music Month, we’ll follow stories, guitars, voices and musical roads stretching across generations.
🍕 October — Pizza Month
Pizza Month celebrates one of those foods capable of starting both friendships and arguments, depending upon what you believe belongs on top.
🍝 October — Pasta Month
Pasta Month brings shapes, sauces, regional traditions and one of the world’s great comfort foods to the table.
🌶️ October — Chili Month
Chili Month invites us to fill the bowls and begin the inevitable debate about ingredients.
🥕 October — Vegetarian Month
Vegetarian Month offers another opportunity to explore plant-forward foods, ingredients, culinary traditions and recipes.
🐶 October — Adopt-A-Dog Month
During Adopt-A-Dog Month, we celebrate rescue, adoption and the remarkable relationships that can begin when a dog finally finds home.
🌳 October — Family History Month
Family History Month invites us to open albums, follow names, ask questions while someone is still here to answer them, and preserve the stories that might otherwise disappear.

This week we’re packing an imaginary bag and heading toward the South African coast.
Our Bucket List Destination is Gansbaai, where dramatic coastline, marine life, small communities and the wild Atlantic environment come together.
Gansbaai invites the sort of travel we particularly enjoy at Go Cybernaut: travel that begins with a destination but quickly becomes curiosity about everything surrounding it.

Asian Autumn
Autumn doesn’t sound the same everywhere.
This week’s seasonal playlist, Asian Autumn, travels through an autumn shaped by changing landscapes, rain, city lights, contemplation, warmth and memory.
It is music for looking through windows.
Music for walking.
Music for working quietly.
Music for noticing that the light outside has changed.
And it pairs particularly well with this week’s tarot journey, which asks us to move forward while allowing memory to travel beside us without taking over the steering wheel.
